Pricing Disclaimer:
We hand cut all of our cheeses, so the final weight of the individual product may be slightly more or less than what is listed. The listed online price for our cheese and the shipping rate is an estimate only. Before your order ships and your credit card is charged you will be notified of the exact price.

Shipping Disclaimer:
Cheese products are perishable and must be delivered promptly to arrive in good condition, particularly during warmer weather (above about 70 degrees F). We recommend express shipping (2 day air or overnight) for all orders with cheese. Please consider upgrading to Cold Pack (order is packed in styrofoam with ice packs) at a small additional cost, for orders shipped during warmer weather or to destinations that are outside of the Upper Midwest US (WI, IA, IL, MI, MN). At our discretion, we may hold shipments during warmer weather (typically from May through October) and ask you to upgrade to Cold Pack and/or select a faster shipping method to help ensure product quality. Please review our full shipping policies before placing your order.

Refund Policy:
All sales are final. Vern’s is not responsible for damage to products or loss of products due to shipping. Please read our Terms & Conditions and review our shipping policies and guidelines before placing your order.

Our Shipping Policies

  • The shipping address must be a street address; PO boxes are undeliverable. Please make sure that the shipping address is accurate. Vern’s Cheese is charged $10 for incorrect addresses, which the charge will then be passed on to the customer. Vern’s Cheese is not responsible for delivery failures or additional
    charges due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.
  • Our shipping charges are the actual FedEx shipping cost plus $5.00 for handling. This charge covers all packing materials and labor needed to process each order.
  • Due to the fact that most cheeses are random weight, the shipping charges that are calculated on the shopping cart are only an estimate. After the order is completed and ready to ship the accurate shipping charges will be listed on the invoice.
  • We will not charge your credit card until your order ships. The billing name and address you enter when ordering must be the same as the name and address of record for the credit card.

FAQs - Shipping Cheese

What states do you ship your cheese to? We ship our Wisconsin cheese and gourmet foods to all 50 states. If your order is being shipped to Alaska or Hawaii it MUST be shipped Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air.

What shipping companies do you use? Vern’s Cheese ships all orders via FedEx or SpeeDee Delivery Service. The company we will use
for delivering your order depends on which state you are shipping to. Neither company delivers Saturdays or Sundays.

My cheese arrived at room temperature, is that ok? If you use Overnight or 2 Day or less shipping your cheese and food products may be
room temperature when they arrive, but their condition will be fine if refrigerated upon arrival.

Do you cold-pack the cheese before shipping? We do not use ice packs or insulated boxes when shipping unless you choose Cold Pack. When shipping cheese and food products to warmer weather locations, during warmer weather, or where transit time will be more than two days, we recommend you upgrade to Cold pack, which ships in a Styrofoam cooler with reusable ice packs. The additional cost is $11.00.

Please note: This option will help to keep the cheese cool on its journey and we recommend it for all cheese and meat purchases.

When can I expect to receive my order? We prefer to ship early in the week so orders arrive no later than Friday. If we receive your order later in the week we will hold it until the following Monday.

I’m sending Wisconsin cheese for a Christmas gift, when do I need to place my order? To guarantee Christmas delivery, the order must be placed by no later than December 14th for standard shipping. Any order received between December 14th and December 18th must be upgraded to express shipping to guarantee delivery before Christmas.
